With digital x-rays, we are able to detect problems earlier, which can prevent issues from getting worse. They can be stored digitally, making them very easy to pull up on a screen and enlarge during your appointment.
Are digital x-rays safe?
Although digital x-rays do produce a low level of radiation, it is substantially lower than in traditional x-rays. Digital x-rays are considered completely safe.

How often do you need an x-ray?
If you're due for an x-ray, we'll let you know during your appointment. Depending on the condition of your teeth and your oral health needs, you may need an x-ray every six months, or only yearly, or even every couple of years.
